Seafood Market & E-Commerce · Demo website

Willapa Tide Seafood Co.

A retailer that sells online lives or dies on the store itself: can a shopper find a product, trust it, add it to a cart, and check out without friction — and does the store keep working to lift each order and win the lost ones back? This demo is a real storefront, not a brochure. Add-to-cart fills a live slide-out cart with a free-shipping progress bar, checkout runs to an order confirmation, and the Gold-tier AI layer is doing the selling around it: a “pairs well with your box” block that re-picks from what's in the cart, an abandoned-cart nudge if items sit, a shop assistant answering shipping and shucking questions, and low-stock and order notifications that build urgency and trust.

Willapa Tide Seafood Co. is a fictional business we invented for this demonstration — not a client. The website is real and fully working; the business, its reviews, and its story are illustrative.

The problem this design solves

Everything past driving distance was a lost sale

What a shellfish company gives up selling only from a cooler at the market — and what a working storefront with an AI layer changes.

The starting point

Sales meant phone orders and a cooler at the fish market, so anyone outside driving distance was a lost customer — and every catalog and price question tied up someone who should have been packing boxes.

What the design changes

The whole catalog is browsable and buyable online: shoppers filter, add to a cart, and check out on their own, while AI pairings are built to lift order size, the assistant answers the repeat questions, and abandoned-cart and low-stock nudges are designed to win back sales that would otherwise slip away.

Design notes

A real storefront, and AI pointed at a number

This is an actual storefront, not a picture of one. The cart is live, quantities move a running subtotal, the free-shipping progress bar does the work it does on every store that uses one, and checkout runs all the way through to an order number and a ship date. Building it that way is the only honest way to show what a Gold project involves.

The AI layer is where the tier earns its keep, and every piece of it points at a number. Chef's pairings re-rank from what is already in the cart, which lifts order size. The abandoned-cart nudge recovers a sale that was otherwise gone. The shop assistant handles shipping-window and shucking questions that would otherwise be email. Low-stock badges and order notifications build urgency and proof at once. None of it is AI for its own sake — each piece replaces a specific lost dollar or a specific repeated reply.

What this build includes

What makes the store sell

  • Shoppable catalog with category filters, live prices, and low-stock badges
  • Working cart drawer — quantity controls, running subtotal, and a free-overnight-shipping progress bar
  • Mock checkout that runs to an order-confirmation screen with an order number and ship date
  • AI chef's pairings that re-rank recommendations from what's already in the cart
  • Abandoned-cart nudge, a shop-assistant chat, and live low-stock / order notifications
Make it yours

Your catalog, built like this

Your products, your shipping rules, your inventory. Anything perishable, seasonal, or shipped cold shares the same hard problems — cutoff times, stock that moves, customers who need reassurance — and we scope the automations around whichever of those is actually costing you money.

Projects like this one fall under our Gold package — a full e-commerce storefront and checkout with AI product recommendations, abandoned-cart recovery, and order/inventory automations.
