About

Modern tools. Local roots. Practical growth.

We build websites and software for coastal businesses and independent people without flattening what makes their work distinct.

Our story

Built for people doing meaningful work on the coast

NorthHead Digital was built for restaurants, shops, inns, contractors, service providers, makers, artists, and independent professionals: the people whose work gives coastal communities their character.

We proudly serve Long Beach, Ilwaco, Ocean Park, Seaview, Chinook, Astoria, and the wider Pacific Northwest coast.

They do not need tech jargon or inflated agency packages. They need a partner who keeps things practical, listens closely, and can build both the public-facing site and the focused software behind the work.

That is why NorthHead Digital exists: to make useful, distinctive digital work accessible close to home. The ways we do that live on our services page.

Who you'll work with

A local operator, not an agency floor

NorthHead Digital is owned and run by Riley Aschoff from the Long Beach Peninsula, named for the North Head lighthouse standing over the cape. When you email or call, you are talking to the person who actually designs your website, builds your software, and sets up your systems, not an account manager relaying notes.

That matters here. Coastal businesses run on seasons, weather, and word of mouth, and advice from someone who has never waited out a February on the Peninsula tends to miss the point. We build for the slow months as much as the summer rush.

Prefer to talk in person? Riley is happy to meet at your shop, your job site, or over coffee anywhere on the Peninsula before you commit to anything — or call (360) 214‑6549 and skip the contact form entirely.

What we believe

Our values

Practical before flashy

If it doesn't help you get found, save time, or serve customers better, it isn't the priority.

Local businesses deserve modern tools

Coastal and small-town businesses shouldn't be left behind because technology feels expensive or confusing.

People stay in control

AI should support owners and staff — not replace their judgment or voice.

Clear beats clever

Simple messaging, clear websites, and straightforward systems beat trendy complexity.

Community matters

The goal is stronger local businesses and more resilient local communities — not growth for its own sake.

Human first

Technology should support the human side of business, in plain language and owner-friendly tools.

What working with us looks like

The process, step by step

No mystery phases. Here is what actually happens between "hello" and a launched website or working tool.

1. First contact

We reply within one business day. From there it is whatever you prefer: a free 15-minute call, a visit to your shop, studio, or job site, or plain email.

2. Discovery & proposal

We learn about the audience, customer, or workflow the project must serve, then send a plain-language proposal with exact scope, price, timeline, and any ongoing software costs.

3. Inputs, together

You supply what you have: photos, project notes, service details, your story, or the current workflow. We organize it, shape client-supplied copy, and identify anything that needs separate content work.

4. Draft & revisions

You review a full working draft and give feedback, with a dedicated revision round built into every project. Approvals and updates live in your client portal, so nothing is buried in an email thread.

5. Launch

Before go-live we test the project where it will be used: responsive layouts and forms for websites; permissions, workflows, and handoffs for custom tools. A fix-it window catches anything that slipped through.

6. Handoff & ownership

You own the final project-specific deliverables, domain, accounts, and content. Every project ends with training and a clean handoff; optional monthly care is never a lock-in.

How we work

A guide, and a builder

We help owners and independent professionals navigate digital decisions with clarity and confidence, then do the practical implementation rather than stopping at advice.

After working with us, a client should think:

"They understand what I actually deal with. They're modern, but they're not trying to confuse me. This feels useful and manageable."

Let's see what is worth building

Tell us about the website, portfolio, or workflow you have in mind. A clear starting point is enough.
