Boutique Coastal Inn · Demo website

Headland House

An independent inn has more to offer than a room thumbnail on a booking platform. Headland House makes the whole stay legible: the house, two genuinely different room types, the slower season, and the coast outside. Explore four connected pages, choose dates and guests, compare rooms, apply a stay offer, and bring everything into an inquiry with the estimate already attached. Rates and availability are illustrative; the request is a local preview and sends nothing.

Headland House is a fictional business we invented for this demonstration — not a client. The website is real and fully working; the business, its reviews, and its story are illustrative.

The problem this design solves

A whole inn reduced to a listing thumbnail

How a small hospitality brand can present the experience around its rooms and help a guest arrive with a considered plan.

The starting point

The inn's rooms appeared as interchangeable listing thumbnails. Guests could not compare the outlook and access, understand a seasonal offer, or build a complete stay without restarting their questions in an email.

What the design changes

The public site gives the property its own identity and connects discovery to a usable inquiry: dates follow the guest, room capacity and example inventory constrain the choices, and an itemized estimate explains the offer before anyone fills in a name.

Design notes

One house, four connected chapters

The inn opens with an architectural image and a large, quiet typographic statement. A forest palette, a simple monogram, generous editorial spacing, and original illustrative room images carry across every page. The identity belongs to the fictional inn rather than borrowing the surrounding studio's interface. The room comparison is deliberately practical: capacity, stairs, a garden entrance, beds, and breakfast are the details that make one room right for a particular guest.

The stay selector is shared throughout the journey. Its dates, guest count, and selected offer travel in the page URL, so visiting the guide or the seasonal-stay page does not lose the plan. Prices are computed night by night, including a stay that crosses seasons, and an ineligible offer is explained rather than silently promised. Example inventory includes unavailable dates so the demonstration shows a constrained decision, not an always-available button.

The final step is an inquiry, with a visible room subtotal, offer savings, and illustrative tax. It is labelled as a demonstration before any guest details are entered. Nothing is posted, emailed, paid, or stored, and sample details are cleared when the completion preview appears. A production project would connect the agreed booking provider and confirmation process; that integration is not represented as live here.

Make it yours

Your inn, with a presence of its own

Your rooms, your actual photographs, your seasons, and your booking provider would shape the finished project. This approach suits a boutique inn, small lodge, or hospitality group that needs a coherent brand across several public views and a guest journey that retains its context.

This demo represents the Website Plan with the Custom design add-on: a custom hospitality design system and several connected public views. It is quoted per project, and the scope of real availability, booking-provider connections, payments, and ongoing vendor costs is agreed separately in writing.

The Website Plan is $99 a month; Custom design is from $99 a month on top, quoted for the project.
